Very nice and Informative . Simply writing down your thoughts is really helpful. So imagine the potential when you use journaling tools, tips, topics and prompts to intentionally focus the immense powers of your conscious and subconscious minds. Stacy,
I love your poem! Its got Power and Punch!
And yes I want to make money with my passion.
Studying these passed three years for that very reason.
It is scary and sometimes I believe I can sometimes not.
Alot of other parts of life always seem to take center stage.
And that’s the challenge I guess for me. Getting those things out of the way. And that is a big change for me.

Wowww Stacey, This post blew me away. It cut through to the depths of my soul and to the core of my heart. I feel high, this was a true drug of inspiration. I think following your passion is one of the greatest things we can ever do for ourselves. We deserve happiness, we deserve to do what we want to do and express our creativity in any way we love.

Somehow, I just feel that if we are truly deeply connected to the Universal force we will not want. I agree with Dave Jones.

Stacey, thank you once again, I shall be back to read this post a few more times..

@Kelly – I love your honesty. I think writing about your fears (in public) is progress. What if you decide to be scared and do it anyways? Would accountability work? If you want, I’ll commit to checking in with you on a regular basis to see if you have written a paragraph or a page of your novel. I will commit to read your novel at the end of your journey and will wait anxiously until it is published. I also wonder what your intentions are for your “reward for your efforts”. What kind of reward are you looking for? Can you vision your success?

I recently read an old but great post by Steve Pavlina about making money. I know it’s easier said than done, but this is part of what he says (he is referring to making money with your blog, but I think you can apply it anything)…

“If you want to succeed, you must be congruent. Generating income from [your blog] is challenging enough — you don’t want to be dealing with self-sabotage at the same time. It should feel genuinely good to earn income from [your blog] — you should be driven by a healthy ambition to succeed. If [your blog] provides genuine value, you fully deserve to earn income from it…It’s about balancing your needs with the needs of others…If you’re going to do this, then fully commit to it. Don’t take a half-assed approach. Either be full-assed or no-assed.”

Ah, good question Stacey. I want to believe I can make money from my life passion (or two life passions – writing stories and traveling) but in my heart I have trouble believing it. I think this manifests in me letting lots of things get in the way of my novel because in my heart I don’t see there will be reward for my efforts and maybe I’m subconsciously putting off the disappointment.

Crikey, how’s that for honest! Now I just feel scared. is that progress?
